Digital Wellbeing Survey

The Scottish Government are conducting two surveys as part of their Digital Wellbeing work.
The surveys seek to gather the views and experiences of children and young people and parents/carers in relation to their:
- Online activities
- Digital wellbeing
- Online safety
- Use of social media and digital devices
- Support and information they may find helpful.
Students studying at colleges or universities in Scotland are welcome and encouraged to take part.
The results of the surveys will inform the development of Scottish Government policy, guidance and services relating to online safety and digital wellbeing.
Participation notes
Participation is voluntary and responses are anonymised. If you start to complete the survey, you can skip any of the questions you do not wish to answer and you can also stop at any time and do not need to provide a reason for doing so.
Some questions may prompt young people to think about experiences that they have found upsetting or difficult whilst being online. These could include situations involving upsetting online content, online interactions, bullying or other negative experiences.
It can sometimes be difficult to share your experiences, if you’d like to talk to someone we have a list of organisations who are ready to support you.
