Anti-Stigma Sessions by See Me
See Me have developed Anti-Stigma Sessions showcasing some of the work that individuals, communities and partners are taking forward to reduce stigma and discrimination in Scotland through monthly online Anti-Stigma Sessions.
They will share learning from projects and research across Scotland from See Me, volunteers, partners and supporters. They will be profiling leaders in the anti-stigma space, sharing innovation and critical thinking, encouraging people to take action against stigma and featuring lived experience throughout.
For the first session of the series of events, See Me will be joined by guests from Bipolar Scotland and VOX Scotland to find out more about public mental health stigma – where it stems from, what it looks like, and what you can do to combat it.
They will share their take on the nature and scale of the issue and the impact it has on the people they work with and support, as well as sharing their learning and what they feel needs to change across society to address mental health stigma and discrimination.
These sessions are open to anyone with an interest in exploring mental health stigma and discrimination. This includes students, those who support students and staff in colleges, universities & students’ associations.
