Ayrshire College is committed to Mental Health Support for their Students and offer a wide variety of resources, information and support. From inclusive Counselling Services to online resource and even brand new App.
What Support is Available?
- Counselling – If you would like more information on the College Counselling Service you can contact the Student Experience Team
- Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub – access online resources and information on the Wellbeing Hub by going to your MyLearning Account or the MyCollege App
- NHS Mental Health Liaison Officer – students can approach Info Hubs or any staff member to request time with the Officer.
- The S-Word and Pathways of Hope – Get more information about talking about suicide and seeking support
- Student Wellbeing Ambassadors – get signposting from our Student Wellbeing Ambassadors. Look out for them wearing their Wellbeing Ambassador Hoodies.
- Mind Thyself App – this brand new Mental Health App provides a one stop shop for mental health guidance, information and resources as well connecting you to mental health helplines.
- Mental Health United Group – This is a men and boys-only football themed social group which brings together members from within and out with the College to have a chat, a cuppa and play a bit of football. Come along and join us on a Thursday night at our Kilmarnock Campus Gymnasium from 5pm – 7pm.
- Student Association – The Student Association hosts and supports a wide variety of clubs, groups and societies which promote a student community and sense of togetherness. For more information on the clubs, groups and societies available or to get involved, contact the Student Association.
