Co-creating compassionate classrooms: International students
In June, QAA Scotland welcomed over 300 delegates to ‘Shaping the Student Experience Together: 20 Years of Enhancement’, their 5th International Enhancement Conference.
The conference had many plenaries which offered delegates the opportunity to talk about issues and topics that significantly impact the student learning experience.
Leila Neshat Mokadem, a senior lecturer at Robert Gordon University presented ‘Co-creating compassionate classrooms: International students’.
In this presentation, barriers and enablers for student success are explored. It covers:
- Considerations when designing compassionate classrooms
- Including students in the process
- Considering equity, wellbeing and inclusion at every stage of the learner journey.
