Edinburgh College Students’ Association
EC Students’ Association is run by students, for students. We work to support students’ mental health and wellbeing through various activities:
- We hold Wellbeing Fairs on campus throughout the academic year – a chance for students to meet with external mental health charities and local providers
- We regularly run mental health check-in stalls on campus – helps to open up conversations with students and reduces the stigma around mental health
- We run surveys to build a picture of how students are feeling at college and give them the chance to make their voices heard
- Signposting resources available to students from within Edinburgh College and beyond
- Running societies and enrichment activities to increase the sense of belonging at college e.g. LGBTQ+ society
- 1-1 support and advocacy for students who need it
- Working with the College to deliver the Student Mental Health Agreement
- Our Vice President Welfare leads on creating new student wellbeing initiatives throughout their time in office
