Mental health matters at NESCol. The College is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of all students who experience mental ill health in an environment free of stigma and discrimination. A range of services and resources are available to students to help build their resilience, skills and capacity to manage mental wellbeing and achieve their full potential as successful learners.
What Support is Available?
- Student Advice Centres at every campus who can support you with funding, mental health support, funding and study support
- Dedicated Student Wellbeing Advisers
- ACIS Counselling service
- Mental Health and Wellbeing Toolkit
- Academic Tutors
- Wellbeing Hubs in the Altens, City Campus and Fraserburgh Libraries
The NESCol Students’ Association also offer:
- Free Student Pantry where students can access free toiletries and food items
- Free Student Breakfast Club
- Contemplation rooms in Altens, City Campus and Fraserburgh where you can find a quiet space, sensory equipment and mindfulness activities
- Annual Gender Affirming Fund for Gender Fluid and Transgender students to have access to funding for safe equipment and other services such as free haircuts . This greatly improves the mental health of these students.
In addition every NESCol student has access to our 24/7 digital support service SpectrumLife which hosts a wide variety of support, resources and guidance.
