Peer Support Group Facilitation Guides
Scottish Recovery Network have co-designed new Peer Support resources, including four free guides and a film.
Peer Support has become an important element of the mental health support offer available to students. Some colleges, universities and students’ associations in Scotland already work together and have peer support groups available, whilst others are currently exploring this opportunity.
These resources have been designed to help in the running of peer support groups. These could be useful whether you are just getting started with peer support or are further along in your journey.
The 4 guides included are:
- What is my role as a peer facilitator?
- What does a healthy peer support group look like?
- Boundaries and why they are important.
- Support for peer facilitators.
There is an accompanying film with insights and top tips. Watch ‘Let’s do Peer Group Facilitation’.
