SAMH: How to cope with student life guide
SAMH have recently updated their guide: How to cope with student life.
Research indicates that students may be more likely than other groups to experience mental health problems and that serious mental health problems among students are increasing.
The ‘How to cope with student life’ guide is for anyone experiencing a mental health problem who is a student or considering becoming one. It gives information about how students can look after their mental health while studying, what sources of support are available and how the people a student has around them such as friends or family, can help.
There is a lot of useful contact and signposting information in this guide which colleges, universities and students’ associations might find useful. It also has a lot of self help information directly for students.
It includes information on:
- Choosing a course
