The Forum brings together representatives from colleges, universities and students’ associations across Scotland who lead on SMHA work at their institution.
What is this space for?
• An online platform for SMHA project participants across Scotland to share what they’ve been up to with each other.
• Offer a supportive space to share ideas, discuss challenges and opportunities.
• Learn from each other and scheduled guest speakers.
This month we are looking at the critical area of suicide prevention. The Suicide Prevention Project Coordinator at Strathclyde University (and coordinator of the National Suicide Prevention Network) will join the session to talk about how the network can support colleges, universities and students’ associations; how Strathclyde University are incorporating suicide prevention into their SMHA; the importance of engaging with third sector organisations such as Emily Test and R;pple; Peer Support and resources.
Please come along with questions; examples of your own work; resources and practice that works for you and your students; and challenges / areas you need support on.
