The Forum by Think Positive

The Forum is Think Positive’s national space for colleges, universities and students’ associations to come together to explore key issues, challenges and developments relating to student mental health in Scotland. It offers a supportive environment for shared learning, discussion and collaboration, helping to strengthen mental health support across the sector.
What is this space for?
The Forum plays a key role in building a more joined‑up approach to supporting student mental health across Scotland. The online platform for SMHA project participants offers the opportunity to:
- Learn from each other and scheduled guest speakers.
- Share effective practice
- Explore common challenges
- Discover new resources and approaches
- Strengthen relationships with colleagues across the sector
- Peer discussion, reflection and time for questions
Our impact
The 2024–25 academic year demonstrated strong engagement and clear value:
- 29 colleges, universities and students’ associations were represented at Forum events.
- 84% of project participants said they learned from the experiences and approaches of other institutions by attending The Forum.
Who is this space for?
The Forum is open to anyone working on the Student Mental Health Agreement Project at their institution.
