Think Positive Impact Report 2024-25
Think Positive launch Impact Report highlighting key highlights and learnings from the academic year 2024-2025.
Think Positive promoted the mental health support on offer at 100% of Scotland’s colleges, universities and students’ associations and directly supported 91% to further develop their work based on student feedback.
Funded by the Scottish Government, Think Positive is a student mental health project at NUS Charity & NUS Scotland that aims to ensure that student mental health needs are better supported and promoted in further and higher education.
Colleges, universities and students’ associations across Scotland provided anonymous feedback about Think Positive’s projects, including the benefits they experienced and opportunities for further development.
- 92% of project participants reported that feedback and collaboration with students has shaped what their support offer looks like.
- 83% of project participants said that their mental health work has developed as a result of the SMHA project.
- 15,371+ students students gave feedback on their institution’s mental health and wellbeing support.
- 292 hours spent by students and the public accessing mental health resources and information via the Think Positive Hub.
- 51,801 pages viewed on the Think Positive Hub.
- 29 colleges, universities and students’ associations represented at The Forum.
- 84% of project participants said they have learnt from the experiences and approaches of other institutions and students’ associations by attending The Forum.

“With all the pressures facing students today it is essential that they have access to high quality mental health support services tailored to their needs. By working with colleges, universities and students’ association across Scotland Think Positive helps to ensure that support is available, of a good standard and delivered in a joined up and consistent way for as many students as possible. The value of their projects like The Forum, Think Positive Hub, and the Student Mental Health Agreement cannot be measured in simple economic terms, but they more than pay for themselves.”
