Your Experience Counts: Improving self-harm support in Scotland
To learn from the experiences of people affected by self-harm, Scottish Recovery Network held a series of Recovery Conversation Cafés.
The cafés were commissioned by Penumbra and brought together a wide range of people. This included people with lived experience, family, friends, carers and organisations that provide support.
Feedback from the cafés is outlined in the ‘Your Experience Counts’ report. The report also features key actions, based on feedback from those with lived experience, needed to improve self-harm services and support in Scotland. You can download the report below.
Learning from this is being used by the Penumbra Self-Harm Network Scotland team to inform peer-led support in three pilot services. It is also being used to further develop the recently launched online Self Harm Support Portal.
