Consultancy Support
Think Positive offers free consultancy support to those taking part in the Student Mental Health Agreement project. This is delivered via online meetings, emails and telephone support along with a range of free resources.
Student Mental Health Research
Improving mental health and wellbeing support for Scotland’s students
In 2020 Think Positive, funded by the Scottish Government, commissioned research to evaluate the effectiveness of student mental health support in Scotland and to support the FE and HE sectors to further develop appropriate practice in the delivery of mental health and wellbeing services to students. It is believed to be the first of its kind in Scotland, covering both further and higher education students. Read the report here.
Breaking the silence
In 2011, Think Positive produced a follow on report which builds upon the findings from the Silently Stressed research. The findings in this report come directly from discussions with students across Scotland. Read the report here.
Silently stressed
In 2010, Think Positive conducted research into student stressors and support. Students were asked to identify which issues caused them stress while studying, where they would turn to for support and what, acts as a barrier to them in coming forward for support with a mental health concern. Think Positive Hub
The landscape of student mental health in Scotland is ever changing, it’s difficult to keep up! The online hub brings together all of the projects, services, resources, training and news relating to student mental health together in one place, for students and those who support them to easily access.
The Forum
Each month Think Positive organises and facilitates a space for representatives from colleges, universities and student’s associations across Scotland meet to discuss the challenges and opportunities they are facing around topics relating to student mental health. It provides an opportunity for them to connect, learn from each other and share best practise.
